Working in Didcot, the outdoor living group have provided and installed many Glass sunrooms, with years of expertise. Structures surrounded by frameless glass doors are known as glass sunrooms or winter gardens. Glass sunrooms are also referred to as glass rooms, Florida rooms, patio rooms or solarium outdoor enclosures. What differentiates a sunroom from a conservatory is its unique single glazed roof. Another feature of a glass room is its side panels that can be opened up to let in more air during the hot summer months.Book a free survey
One of the features that makes glass rooms very unique from the rest of the rooms in your home, is the amount of natural light that bathes and warms up the room. A glass room allows you to enjoy the outdoors of Didcot no matter the weather; rain, sunny, snowy without having to give up the comfort that being indoors provides. Homeowners who want a budget friendly outdoor extension of their garden go with glass sunrooms. In addition, glass sunrooms come in various styles and designs. They are also designed to blend in with your home for a cohesive look that adds to the appeal and feel of any home.
Seasonal sunrooms are not made to be used with air-conditioning or conventional heating sources but still offer all year round use. A major design feature of seasonal sunrooms are single glazed doors or screens.

If you are looking to increase your outdoor living space, then a sunroom will be perfect. It is great for entertaining, relaxing after a long day or as a simple retreat. Yes it can. There are a couple of heating methods that can be used in a sunroom. A compact radiant heater is also another cost-effective method for heating up a sunroom. This heating method keeps individual in the sunroom warm without heating up the room directly. Using one of these will not affect the colour of your room as they are powdered coated to blend in seamlessly.
The installation of a cooling system is really not necessary for sunroom. A glass garden room is designed with sliding door panels that open the room up and provide ventilation. Including a retractable roof shade will make the Sunroom even cooler. In addition, you could also have a side shade that comes with an automatic sun sensor installed on the external parts of your sun room to follow the sun's movement.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.The design
It was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
To better manage installation cost, you glass room can be constructed in stages. We can begin with a standard glass veranda. You can have this converted into a complete glass garden room at a later date by adding additional features such as retractable roofing, sliding glass panels and lighting.
