With years of experience, the outdoor living group have installed and provided Glass sunrooms across Oxford. A structure that is encircled by a frameless door system is called a sunroom (winter garden). Winter gardens are also referred to as glass rooms, solarium outdoor enclosures, patio rooms or Florida rooms. Glass rooms are different from a conservatory because of their single glazed nature. Winter gardens also have side panels that can be opened up for more ventilation when it's summer.Book a free survey
Glass rooms draw the natural light in, which provide a space that is aesthetically beautiful and different from the rest of your home. In Oxford, sunrooms are the perfect space because you can enjoy the comfort of being indoors while enjoying an outdoor view. Homeowners who want a budget friendly outdoor extension of their garden go with glass sunrooms. Sunrooms can be constructed in many different styles and would work well with any kind of building or design style. They are also designed to blend in with your home for a cohesive look that adds to the appeal and feel of any home.
Seasonal sunrooms are not made to be used with air-conditioning or conventional heating sources but still offer all year round use. A major design feature of seasonal sunrooms are single glazed doors or screens.

A sunroom that provides an amazing view of the outdoors is a home feature that a lot of homebuyers would gladly shell out a little more money for in Oxford. The investment in a sunroom is one that will only appreciate as time goes by.
Sunrooms are built to let in as much natural light as possible. You also get to enjoy the sun's natural warmth in a sunroom which makes it a great relaxation space. Sit and enjoy a cup of tea in the morning or curl up to a good book in the evening.
Add a sunroom to your space and watch your outdoor living space expand. As a bonus, you also get a space that can serve as a quiet sanctuary, is great for hosting guests outdoors or simply relaxing at the end of a hard day. If you're going through the process of adding on an extra room to your home in Oxford, then go for an out of the box outdoor living space like a glass garden room.
Yes it can. There are a couple of heating methods that can be used in a sunroom. You can also use compact radiant heaters to warm up the people in the room and not the room itself. This is the more efficient option. Using one of these will not affect the colour of your room as they are powdered coated to blend in seamlessly.
With glass garden rooms, you really do not have to worry about heat. A standard feature of a sunroom is sliding glass panels that help keep the room cool. When a retractable roof shade is included with the design, a glass garden room can be made even cooler in the summer. You can also incorporate side shades on the outside that comes fitted with automatic sun sensors that track the sun's movement all through the day.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.The design
It was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
To better manage installation cost, you glass room can be constructed in stages. We can begin with a standard glass veranda. You can have this converted into a complete glass garden room at a later date by adding additional features such as retractable roofing, sliding glass panels and lighting.
