Working in Rye, the outdoor living group have provided and installed many Glass sunrooms, with years of expertise. Structures surrounded by frameless glass doors are known as glass sunrooms or winter gardens. Glass sunrooms also go by the name glass rooms, solarium outdoor enclosures, Florida rooms or patio rooms. What separates a glass room from a conservatory is its single glazed feature. A glass room is never overly hot in the summer because it is also constructed with glass side panels that can be drawn to expel heat.Book a free survey
Glass rooms allow a lot of natural light to come in, which creates a stunning aesthetic that is unique from the rest of your home. A glass room allows you to enjoy the outdoors of Rye no matter the weather; rain, sunny, snowy without having to give up the comfort that being indoors provides. Homeowners often incorporate sunrooms as an inexpensive outdoor garden extension. Sunrooms can be constructed in many different styles and would work well with any kind of building or design style. Winter gardens are also constructed to blend in with the rest of a building for a seamless look.
Seasonal sunrooms provide a relaxing space that can be enjoyed all year round. They are designed with single glazed retractable glass panels screens or doors.

Including a sunroom in your house will provide you with more outdoor living space. This outdoor space can be used for unwinding at the end of a difficult day, an evening of relaxation on summer nights or entertaining. A glass garden room would make a superb addition to your home in Rye.
Yes it can. There are a couple of heating methods that can be used in a sunroom. The more efficient method would be to use compact radiant heaters that warm up people not the room. Using one of these will not affect the colour of your room as they are powdered coated to blend in seamlessly.
Typically, heat is not an issue in a glass garden room because it is constructed with sliding glass panel that create great air flow and when combined with a roof shade you will have the perfect climate all year round. You can also include an outdoor side shade that is controlled by automatic sun sensors that follows those thorns movements.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.The design
It was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
To better manage installation cost, you glass room can be constructed in stages. We can begin with a standard glass veranda. You can have this converted into a complete glass garden room at a later date by adding additional features such as retractable roofing, sliding glass panels and lighting.
