Gaining in popularity in Greenwich, the Glass sunrooms from the outdoor living group offer a sleek look with expert installation. Structures surrounded by frameless glass doors are known as glass sunrooms or winter gardens. A winter garden is also called a glass room, Florida room, patio room and a solarium outdoor enclosure. What separates a glass room from a conservatory is its single glazed feature. A glass room is never overly hot in the summer because it is also constructed with glass side panels that can be drawn to expel heat.Book a free survey

There are a lot of heating options available for a sunroom. Compact radiant heaters are also cost-effective and easy methods for sunroom heating option. Please note, this option warms up the individuals in the room and not the room itself. Using one of these will not affect the colour of your room as they are powdered coated to blend in seamlessly.
With glass garden rooms, you really do not have to worry about heat. A standard feature of a sunroom is sliding glass panels that help keep the room cool. When a retractable roof shade is included with the design, a glass garden room can be made even cooler in the summer. In addition, you could also have a side shade that comes with an automatic sun sensor installed on the external parts of your sun room to follow the sun's movement.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.The design
It was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
To better manage installation cost, you glass room can be constructed in stages. We can begin with a standard glass veranda. You can have this converted into a complete glass garden room at a later date by adding additional features such as retractable roofing, sliding glass panels and lighting.
