With years of experience, the outdoor living group have installed and provided Glass sunrooms across Croydon. Glass rooms or winter gardens are structures built with surrounding framed glass doors. Glass sunrooms also go by the name glass rooms, solarium outdoor enclosures, Florida rooms or patio rooms. The major difference between a sunroom and a conservatory is its distinct glazed feature . A glass room is not affected by high temperatures in the summer months because the side glass panels can be pulled back to expel excess heat.Book a free survey
Glass rooms are strikingly different from other rooms in a building because of the amount of natural light that comes into the room. Glass rooms allow you to enjoy the outdoors without having to deal with insects or the atmospheric conditions of Croydon. Home owners who want an outdoor living space that extends to their garden, go with sunrooms because they are affordable. Sunrooms can be constructed in many different styles and would work well with any kind of building or design style. They are also designed to blend in with your home for a cohesive look that adds to the appeal and feel of any home.
Seasonal sunrooms are built with single glazed screens or doors. Even though they are not crafted for air conditioning or traditional heating products, seasonal sunrooms provide shade and have an open-air feature that can be enjoyed all year long.

A sunroom can be heated in a couple of ways. A compact radiant heater is also another cost-effective method for heating up a sunroom. This heating method keeps individual in the sunroom warm without heating up the room directly. Installing one of these will not detract from the visual aesthetic of your glass room as they are powder coated.
Typically, heat is not an issue in a glass garden room because it is constructed with sliding glass panel that create great air flow and when combined with a roof shade you will have the perfect climate all year round. You can have an automatic sun sensor affixed with an external side shade on the outside to track the movement of the sun.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.The design
It was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
To better manage installation cost, you glass room can be constructed in stages. We can begin with a standard glass veranda. You can have this converted into a complete glass garden room at a later date by adding additional features such as retractable roofing, sliding glass panels and lighting.
