With years of experience, the outdoor living group have installed and provided Glass sunrooms across Harwich. Glass sunrooms also referred to as winter gardens are buildings enclosed by framed glass doors. Winter gardens also go by the name patio room, solarium outdoor enclosure or a patio room. What separates a glass room from a conservatory is its single glazed feature. A glass room is never overly hot in the summer because it is also constructed with glass side panels that can be drawn to expel heat.Book a free survey

Yes it can. There are a couple of heating methods that can be used in a sunroom. A more efficient method is to use compact radiant heaters to warm up people not the sunroom. These are great options because they are powdered coated and can match the colour of your glass room.
A glass garden room is constructed with sliding glass panels so, heat is not always an issue especially when a retractable roof shade is part of the design . You can also incorporate side shades on the outside that comes fitted with automatic sun sensors that track the sun's movement all through the day.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.The design
It was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
To better manage installation cost, you glass room can be constructed in stages. We can begin with a standard glass veranda. You can have this converted into a complete glass garden room at a later date by adding additional features such as retractable roofing, sliding glass panels and lighting.
