Gaining in popularity in Raunds, the Glass sunrooms from the outdoor living group offer a sleek look with expert installation. Glass sunrooms also referred to as winter gardens are buildings enclosed by framed glass doors. Glass sunrooms are also referred to as glass rooms, Florida rooms, patio rooms or solarium outdoor enclosures. The major difference between a sunroom and a conservatory is its distinct glazed feature . A glass room is not affected by high temperatures in the summer months because the side glass panels can be pulled back to expel excess heat.Book a free survey

In a sunroom, you can enjoy the beautiful sun rays, wherever you might be in the room. Not only does a sunroom bring in a natural light but it also creates a warm space that is completely relaxing. You can unwind in the evening after a long day or drink your morning cup of tea in tune with mother nature.
By adding a sunroom to your home, you get more outdoor living space. In addition, you get a great outdoor space for relaxing during summer months, at the end of a stressful day or maybe hosting family and friends. There are a lot of heating options available for a sunroom. The more efficient method would be to use compact radiant heaters that warm up people not the room. These are great options because they are powdered coated and can match the colour of your glass room.
With glass garden rooms, you really do not have to worry about heat. A standard feature of a sunroom is sliding glass panels that help keep the room cool. When a retractable roof shade is included with the design, a glass garden room can be made even cooler in the summer. In addition, you can include external side shades that come fitted with automatic sun sensors that track the movements of the sun.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.The design
It was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
To better manage installation cost, you glass room can be constructed in stages. We can begin with a standard glass veranda. You can have this converted into a complete glass garden room at a later date by adding additional features such as retractable roofing, sliding glass panels and lighting.
