Louvred roofs also known as a louvered pergola are adjustable outdoor frames that are common features of hotels, large patios, restaurants and decks. They are either affixed to a building or installed as a freestanding structure. Louvered roofs are built not only to provide shade in the summer and a dry space in the winter, but to also improve the look and feel of an outdoor space.

Delivering the exceptional

We’re passionate about creating the outdoor living space of your dreams, delivered with great customer service.

What are the advantages of a louvered roof?

A louvred roof is built with rotating louvers that are adjustable. When built with a bioclimatic roof, pergolas are outdoor living spaces that can be enjoyed all through the summer in Banbury.

Design

Your louvered roof should not look strange or out of place on your property. It needs to look like a natural extension of your original property that just happens to cover your garden or patio. At Outdoor Living Group, we have a wide range of designs for our louvered roofs. We have experts who have years of experience in designing the perfect roof for individual clients. Maybe you have a unique twist or innovative design idea for your louvered roof over your patio, or garden, something to make it special. We definitely have the experience to make it come to life.

Bioclimatic roofs

A clever update to the classic louvred/pergola roof, bioclimatic roofs make changing shade and ventilation levels easy. Bioclimatic roofs come with rotating louvers that are adjustable. Making them perfect for use all through the year. There are four preset buttons on the remote however, the louvers can be changed to level in between the preset positions. The flexibility of our bioclimatic pergola roofs means you can transform your pergola into a closed outdoor space by adding heating, lighting, sliding glass panels and side shades. Depending on your requirements, our louvered roofs can be installed as part of your current building or as a lone single standing units. Would you like a shaded area for your garden or backdoor area? Our louvred roofs will be just perfect!

Bioclimatic roof features

We add a number of improvements to our louvered roofs. Our roofs are designed to allow no light gaps or leaks and do so without exposed gutters. Controlling the louvered blades gives you control over the amount of sunlight that filters into your space. Regulating this gives you complete control over the climate of your outdoor space at the touch of a button. Our louvered roofs are designed to give you ample room to find the perfect fit for your property in Banbury.

Side glazing can be an addition to the louvered roof. This technique will create an weatherproof outdoor space that can be used in any weather. We have some optional extras available to add to your outdoor space to make it more unique and comfortable. Some are LED lighting, electric heating and outdoor blinds. The louvered roof can have internal blade insulation added within the louvers, this can help retain heat during the cold months and it also helps to reduce the sound of the rain on the roof by 70%.

Ventilating your outdoor space is important and should be done quickly and efficiently so we build our bioclimatic pergolas to rotate the louvers from 0 to 135 degrees easily. Our louvered roof can be designed and constructed to be free standing. This can give you ample space to enjoy your garden or any other outdoor space without the restriction of an enclosed space. Our louvered roofs give you the choice to decide the amount of protection from the elements you desire. You can decide to shut out the weather in any season or let in as much sunlight as you want, well into late in the evening. Is a planning permission necessary to install a louvered roof? The answer is usually no. Most properties in the UK have permitted development rights so installing a louvered roof isn’t a problem.

Is installing a louvered roof time consuming?

The average time to install a louvered roof, also called a bioclimatic roof, is one or two days. This is largely dependent on the size of the roof and if you are adding side glazing. Side glazing will add another day to the installation time to ensure a good finish.

Bioclimatic roofs: The price

Being attached to the house or freestanding will affect the cost of the louvered roof. Also, the type of options selected for the louvered roof adds to the cost of the roof. The cost of the roof can be spread out over a long period of time if extras and optional features are added gradually. Putting a plan in place, we can handle big plans on a small budget. Get across to us and we can work with you on a design that can work with your property and still fit into your finances.
