Louvered roofs also known as Louvered pergolas are outdoor framed structures that rotate allowing the roof to open and close. They are most commonly featured in restaurant, decks, hotels and large patios. They are either affixed to a building or installed as a freestanding structure. Louvered roofs are built not only to provide shade in the summer and a dry space in the winter, but to also improve the look and feel of an outdoor space.

The Benefits of a pergola.

A major advantage of louvred roofs is its adjustable rotating louvers. Each rotating louver can be adjusted for more shade or light. Suitable for various weather conditions, the outdoor living groups pergolas are bioclimatic and adjustable to provide optimal versatility in Cambridgeshire.

You don’t want to have a louvered roof that looks awkward. What you want is a louvered roof that extends naturally out of the building and over your garden or patio. The Outdoor Living Group’s catalogue of louvered roofs is quite extensive. We have design experts who have had many years of experience in designing pergolas to match our customer’s needs. You may have ideas about what you want for your louvered roof over your outdoor space. Bioclimatic roofs

Bioclimatic roofs are the updated version of standard louvered/pergola roofs. Bioclimatic roofs come with rotating louvers that are adjustable. Making them perfect for use all through the year. There are four preset buttons on the remote however, the louvers can be changed to level in between the preset positions. The Outdoor Living Group's louvered roofs can be constructed as a enclosed outdoor space with the addition of side shades, heating, sliding glass panels and lighting. Depending on your requirements, our louvered roofs can be installed as part of your current building or as a lone single standing units. Shaded outdoor back area or garden? Our louvered roofs can be built to meet whatever requirements you desire.

Bioclimatic roof features

We add a lot of technical enhancements to our louvered roofs. With our designs, you have no leaks, light gaps or ugly gutters. With full control over the blades of the louvered roof, you can control the amount of sunlight that gets into your outdoor space at any time. With that you can control the microclimate of your outdoor space, perfect for gardens. Our louvered roofs are purpose built to be flexible in their design and be the perfect solution to your outdoor needs in Cambridgeshire.

If we add side glazing to the louvered roof, this can create an outdoor space that can be used in any weather. There are a number of optional extras that are available, these include LED lighting, outdoor blinds and electric heating. The louvers can be fitted with internal blade insulation. This can reduce the sound of rain the louvered roof lets in by up to 70% and it also helps to retain heat during the winter months.

Ventilating your outdoor space is important and should be done quickly and efficiently so we build our bioclimatic pergolas to rotate the louvers from 0 to 135 degrees easily. Any part of your garden can be enjoyed since we can construct our louvered roofs to stand alone and this can create a large amount of space you can relish and enjoy. The weather isn’t much of a deterrent to enjoy your outdoor space, no matter the season. Our louvered roofs provide you with the control over how much of the elements you want to let in. Do you need planning permission for a louvered roof? No, generally most houses in the UK will have permitted development rights, this means you can install a louvered roof if you want to.

Will installing a louvered roof take time?

The average time to install a louvered roof, also called a bioclimatic roof, is one or two days. This is largely dependent on the size of the roof and if you are adding side glazing. Side glazing will add another day to the installation time to ensure a good finish.

The Price of louvered roofs.

The cost of the louvered roof will vary with whether it is attached to the house or freestanding. The options selected for the roof will also affect the price of the roof. Extras added to the roof can be installed in stages. Phased out over time this can help spread the cost of the roof over a longer period. Putting a plan in place, we can handle big plans on a small budget. Get across to us and we can work with you on a design that can work with your property and still fit into your finances.
