Bioclimatic roofs
Bioclimatic roofs are the updated version of standard louvered/pergola roofs. Bioclomatic pergola roofs are adjustable so you can let in or block out heat and light when you desire. On the remote there are four preset louver positions but the louvers can be changed between the different levels. The Outdoor Living Group's bioclimatic louvred roofs are customisable. What this means is, lighting, side shades, heating and sliding glass panels can be incorporated as a later time to transform the roof to a closed room that can be enjoyed at any time of the year. It is also possible to have our pergola installed as free standing units or as an addition to your current property. Making them the perfect fit, if you require a shaded space for your backyard or garden.
Bioclimatic roof features
We add a lot of technical enhancements to our louvered roofs. We have designed our gutters explicitly to remove gutters and eliminate leaks and light gaps. You can control the climate in your outdoor space. Our louvered roofs can be controlled at the touch of a button. You can have complete control of the louvered blades and this controls the amount of light that gets let in. We design our louvered roofs to be flexible enough to adapt to your needs and fit your property in Berkshire.
We can add side glazing to the louvered roof, this can create a space that is weatherproof and can be used in any weather. There are a number of extras that are optional but can be included. These are outdoor blinds, electric heaters and LED lighting. The louvered roof can have internal blade insulation added within the louvers, this can help retain heat during the cold months and it also helps to reduce the sound of the rain on the roof by 70%.
Our bioclimatic pergolas are designed to be able to rotate the louvers from 0 to 135 degrees quickly to easily aerate your garden. Any part of your garden can be enjoyed since we can construct our louvered roofs to stand alone and this can create a large amount of space you can relish and enjoy. The amount of protection you desire from our louvered roofs is completely up to you. You can vary the amount of sunlight coming in or even shut out the weather completely no matter the season. Is a planning permission necessary to install a louvered roof? The answer is usually no. Most properties in the UK have permitted development rights so installing a louvered roof isn’t a problem.
How long does it take to install a louvered roof?
The size of the louvered roof will determine the amount of time it takes to install. Typically, it takes 1-2 days to install, but if you are adding side glazing, this can extend to an extra day to make sure it is finished to perfection.
