Glass rooms allow a lot of natural light to come in, which creates a stunning aesthetic that is unique from the rest of your home. A glass room allows you to enjoy the outdoors of Watford no matter the weather; rain, sunny, snowy without having to give up the comfort that being indoors provides. Homeowners often incorporate sunrooms as an inexpensive outdoor garden extension. A sunroom is also great home addition because it comes in a broad range of styles and designs. In addition, sunrooms are designed to seamlessly match your property and increase its aesthetic appeal.
What Is The Difference Between The Types Of Sunrooms?
Seasonal sunrooms are built with single glazed screens or doors. Even though they are not crafted for air conditioning or traditional heating products, seasonal sunrooms provide shade and have an open-air feature that can be enjoyed all year long.
Glass Rooms: glass rooms are constructed with sturdy, long lasting single glazed doors and laminated glass roofs. This creates a space that provides a scenic view of the outdoors without insects, or weather conditions detracting from the experience.
Solariums: are outdoor living glass garden rooms that are perfect for growing sun loving plants, entertaining or relaxing. Depending on the build, they can be used all through the year. A distinct feature of this room style is that it is built almost entirely from glass.

Is it possible to have heating in a sunroom?
Yes it can. There are a couple of heating methods that can be used in a sunroom. You can also use compact radiant heaters to warm up the people in the room and not the room itself. This is the more efficient option. These are powdered coated, so they can match the colour of your glass room and blend in seamlessly.
Cooling options for a sunroom
A glass garden room is constructed with sliding glass panels so, heat is not always an issue especially when a retractable roof shade is part of the design . You can have an automatic sun sensor affixed with an external side shade on the outside to track the movement of the sun.
FEATURED GLASS ROOM PROJECT
A contemporary glass room for outside dining
Mr & Mrs Farthing 5.7m x 3.0m glass room with integrated LED roof lighting, bespoke roof shade & dimmable heaters
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.
The designIt was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
