Glass Rooms in Finchley, London
Glass Sunrooms
Wokring with the experts at the outdoor living group, many homeowners in Finchley have made the excellent choice of adding a Glass sunroom to their property. A building surrounded by frameless glass doors is called a sunroom. It is also referred to as a winter garden or glass room. Winter gardens also go by the name patio room, solarium outdoor enclosure or a patio room. What separates a glass room from a conservatory is its single glazed feature. A glass room is never overly hot in the summer because it is also constructed with glass side panels that can be drawn to expel heat.

Boost Home Value and appearance
A utilitarian sunroom especially one that faces a beautiful garden or provides a scenic view of the outdoors, is a feature that most homebuyers in Finchley will pay a little more for. Spending money on a sunroom is always a good investment that produces great returns.
Relax in the natural light.
With a sunroom, the sunshine can truly be enjoyed. Not only does a sunroom bring in a natural light but it also creates a warm space that is completely relaxing. You can unwind in the evening after a long day or drink your morning cup of tea in tune with mother nature.
Spread out in extra space.
Including a sunroom in your house will provide you with more outdoor living space. This outdoor space can be used for unwinding at the end of a difficult day, an evening of relaxation on summer nights or entertaining. In Finchley enclosed outdoor living spaces are great, they provide you with extra room and when they are glass garden rooms; something spectacular.
Playrooms for children.
A glass sunroom would be fantastic for a play area. It is spacious, warm and beautiful and your children or grandchildren will love playing games in one.
Host Guests In Style
There is no better spot for hosting a family brunch or candlelight dinner than a glass garden room. Sunrooms are enjoyed by all.
Can A Sunroom Be Heated?
There are a couple of methods available for heating a sunroom. You can also use compact radiant heaters to warm up the people in the room and not the room itself. This is the more efficient option. These are great options because they are powdered coated and can match the colour of your glass room.
How to cool a sunroom
Typically, heat is not an issue in a glass garden room because it is constructed with sliding glass panel that create great air flow and when combined with a roof shade you will have the perfect climate all year round. You can have an automatic sun sensor affixed with an external side shade on the outside to track the movement of the sun.
FEATURED GLASS ROOM PROJECT
A contemporary glass room for outside dining
Mr & Mrs Farthing 5.7m x 3.0m glass room with integrated LED roof lighting, bespoke roof shade & dimmable heaters
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.
The designIt was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
